Undertaken with a design and construct approach, the Beecroft Peninsular Observation Tower project resulted in a spectacular demonstration of project co-ordination and management. The scope included the demolition of the existing faulty tower and replacement with new. During the project ACA experienced extreme weather delays including severe flooding. Given the delays, the project team was able to modify the design to incorporate the flooding risk, and mitigate any potential further issues with the construction of a new drainage system. In addition to the drainage system ACA was able to incorporate new sustainable features including solar power, solar lighting and double glazing.
